A Note from the Renovation Team

The renovations to our wonderful worship center are continuing at a rapid pace.  You will all be amazed to see the work that has occurred the last few weeks. The pieces are all following into place and none of this would have been possible without you and your support.

As we begin to plan for entering the sanctuary once again, the renovation team has developed a wish list of items that would be wonderful to have and use for years to come but are not in our budget.  These would be items that could be given in honor or memory of someone.  Thank you so much to those who have already reached out to sponsor one of the items in honor or memory of someone! Below is a list of items on our wish list (there are some pictures at the bottom as well):

  • Large Brass Cross for Altar Table  ($300)
  • Brass Candlesticks ($125)
  • Banners (prices range up to $150 each - would like to purchase 4)
    • One has been sponsored! Looking for 3 more sponsorships!
  • Music stands for praise team ($90 each - need 6-8)
  • Large permanent flower arrangements (1 for each season - $150/each)
  • Paraments (cloths) for altar table
  • Cordless Microphones
If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please simply designate your gift to the Sanctuary Renovation and whatever item you would like to sponsor.  If you would prefer, you can give any amount to the renovation fund and any monies that are above the construction costs will go towards these items.  All gifts are needed and appreciated.  Again, thank you for your prayers, support, and giving.  We are so excited as we look toward the finish line!

A Note from the Renovation Team

Work continues in the sanctuary and the end is in sight. In spite of the flood, work has continued. Currently, the floors are being refinished, the stage area is floored and lighting is being installed. In a few short weeks, our pews will be winging their way back from Alabama and will be installed. Then, we will be on to carpet and installation of new speakers and sound equipment. Finishing touches will occur and we will all celebrate as we once again worship together in our worship center. There is so much for which to be grateful!

The renovation team has worked diligently to maximize the impact and scope of work while staying within the budget that was allotted over a year ago. There were some unexpected costs and opportunities that forced us to come back to the church and ask for an additional allowance of $20,000. The church voted to approve. This will allow us the flexibility to complete the work. Please know that this team is frugal and we are working to be the best stewards of the monies given.

Thanks to all who have contributed to make this dream a reality. Financial gifts can still be made to this project. There is a wish list of items that all gifts could go towards such as pew cushions, wireless microphones, music stands, banners, and arrangements for the altar table. The renovation team has worked to create a space that will enhance our worship and allow us to be a community hub for years to come.

Please continue to pray for this endeavor and for those who have been tasked its completion. We are excited and hope that you are, too!
